Sorry, this is an old post about a pet bird I once had.
At one time I raised a black and white magpie, a fledgling that fell from the nest in a high wind. It had no chance of survival on its own, too young to fly it would have soon become wild cat food, so my Dad brought it home, knowing I would love to raise her. It's time to start feeding the birds again.
The birds have all been flying around and about. The blue Jays have been scoffing berries until they are drunk and pecking at the hard little apples. haven't seen much of my Sammy squirrel all summer
