A LOT OF STUFF HAPPENED EVEN BEFORE I WAS BORN

I am reposting old work because I can't remember some of it and surely I can't expect you to. Hope this is not insulting to your senses. Thanks! Written in 2003 justi THE TRINITY AT WORK Once upon a time We all know that was Longer than anyone can Remember or likely count Stuff went on then, lots of it God created the Heavens and the Earth Lucifer led an uprising took a third of The Angels and marched against God God threw the lot of them out Down to earth he tossed them They were still ugly and... IT IS LATER THAN YOU MAY THINK

I didn’t know you knew that, who told you I did not, no it was not I, you are making me out to be a lollapalooza, a mind snoozer, at best a mental looser so it isn’t true Your concept of who I am, what I look like or even how smart or not I am does not compute You said you thought I was cute, well toot-toot In such matters past tense is a sure fire offense I know you and those of your ilk you think you are all there is and a bag of chips to you all others are dips You look for my shortcomings,... OUR VERY BEST CAN RUST, BREAK OR GO AWAY

THE VERY BEST You have to know. How does it look? How does it feel? How does it smell? Does it sound? I had aspirations. I must have the best of it all. I must be thin and always well dressed. The best marriage, house and car had to be mine. I got it all and then Then it began to fail. My marriage went up in smoke. My business failed. I was broke and scared. My only two sons died. All these years later my aspirations are different. I desire only what the Lord wants for me. I have no fear he does... Sign in to see full entry.

DO YOU OR HAVE YOU EVER LIVED THERE?

I did, yes I did live there for a really long time. You don’t think for one minute I let them know They could not see it anyway, peculiar thing When I closed it they could not see me I could quickly pull up those silver sides Pop together the top and pull up the ribbon Tying the gorgeous pink wired bow ah-ha They haven’t a clue I am safe and sound One day I looked around me and saw there Was no art on the walls, no music flowing, No windows, no birds singing, no soft and Billowy linen sheets... IF

"IF" by Rudyard Kipling "A word fitly spoken is like apples of gold In settings of silver. " (Proverbs 25:11) Here is a real treasure; one of Kipling's best offers to the world of Literature; his insightful poem, simply entitled "IF" — If you can keep your head when all about you are losing theirs and blaming it on you; If you can trust yourself when all men doubt you, but make allowance for their doubting, too; If you can wait and not be tired of waiting; or being lied about don't deal in lies;... THE ICE MAN COMETH OUT OF MEXICO-OFF THE FARM-OUT OF THE CITY

Ice is? What is it? Crystal. Crystal Meth. Ice is? It was Red Devil Lye. The Red Devil is dead. Still Sodium hydroxide, battery acid and amphetamine. Ice is? The elixir of insanity. The cocktail of death. Ice is? Cold. Blood chilling cold. Mothers cook meth on the stove Babies play on the floor. The air is deadly toxic. Ice is? The high of days. It eats teeth into spikes. Ages some years in months. Is Ice? What? Is Ice Satan? From Satan? It steals minds. It destroys lives. It kills! Highest use... Sign in to see full entry.

TORN GOSSAMER

Once upon a dream. The beginning of each day Sum total of a child’s spirit Value incalculable That propensity for dreaming When did it go? Upon awakening daily Duty, my dreaming precedes Is that maturity? Must it remain forever once upon a time? I’ll wake the child within. From her I’ll learn the lost habits. I’ll again find my way, back into forever. No more dashing dreams like torn gossamer Tomorrow I’ll awaken into my dream. Sign in to see full entry.

HEAVY NOTHINGNESS

Falling heavy fold onto heavy fold warm butter covers each tiny recess covering all to near unconsciousness before I notice it is not butter, it is dark dank, heavy but of no real substance. Reaching the floor it puddles forming foundations for going up again for a firmer cover over the poverty distressed being behind the struggles of nothingness awareness pushes to maintain breath. All the strengths that give force to one’s sanity, growth, mobility, faith and stict to your guns spirit have been... Sign in to see full entry.

Yes, Martha

Were you ever asked to read your work better yet, did you ever ask to read your work and your tongue snarled between the two os you left in plop, or top Editing aloud before an audience is somewhat like snoring in a public while awake or trying to sit on a moving escalator some things only work in your dreams Oh how I have dreamt of standing on water, mind you not walking, I am not competitive, just standing while the waves roll under your feet and your soar and drop I regress it is not my...
