BORN A GIRL NAMED JOHN

Forgive me if I have posted this before or many times before. I don't remember. It was cold and raining. It was a March, and it was Wednesday. Mattie lay writhing in pain, trying not to cry out, but it hurt. Nobody knew the due date, weight gain was a scant twelve pounds total. Curt her loving husband of twelve years awoke and hit the floor like he had seen a bob cat. He questioned his little wife who had no answers except how it hurt, how it really hurt.
