BOMBS, BLACKOUTS AND THE KID WWII

World War II war was becoming a serious business for everybody. The attitude was benevolent, caring and united. We still lived in the same house when rationing took place and black outs became routine. The black outs were hard for me. At first we simply turned off the lights and went to bed. I could not see in the dark as well as the adults appeared to be able to see. We didn’t know just what we should do about window covers.
