Bush/Obama "ease" world toward a greasy grave

The beginning of what appears to be "the end," happened when BP blew-up their own New Horizon deep-water oil rig. After three months of BP bleeding poison into our water, Obama and BP finally allowed Costner to clean up the oil. In an investigation of that so-called "accident," it was discovered that BP/Halliburton employees used jackhammers to tear the protective cement off the oil rig's core. The first explosion followed immediately! BP owes the world a lot of money, if humanity is smart... Sign in to see full entry.

So the Repugs have decided to "blow it all up?" Think again GOP!

Howdy, wrong-wingers! This is your game, Repugs! You know, turning humanity into slaves. What happens to your slave-master status, when you burn down your own plantations? Are we supposed to keep on "picking cotton" after you whip us to death? This is your game, wackos! If you undermine it with more number manipulation, you lose! You 'ludicrously rich people' are the only ones left who have anything left to lose! That may sound like an advantage. It is not! You are expecting us to scream... Sign in to see full entry.

The San Francisco Giants: "Torture and Love" - Jimmy Rod's Best Shot

As any Dodger fan will eagerly tell you. The Giants haven't won a World Series during the half century they've been in San Francisco. They are now somewhat magically moving toward that accomplishment. "Torture" is a good way to describe this "nightmare." It's not just this season that I'm talking about. This torture goes back many years. It's like some stupid, Dodger Nation selling their souls, Chavez Ravine curse screws the Giants every time they get close to winning it all. The "Jints" were... Best Sports Story of the Year! He Was Really Safe!- Jimmy Rod's Best Shot

The runner was out, right? The umpire destroyed the perfect game, right? Jimmy Rod says, "wrong!" Watch the baseball closely. In the classic photograph of the play, you can actually see the ball blurring in the web of Gallaraga's glove. The blur means the ball is still moving. If the ball is still moving, so is the play! The runner was, in fact, "safe!" Don't go killing yourself, umpire Jimmy Joyce! When you spread your arms, you were right. Your shame over your "mistake" blocked you from... Best S.F. Giant pitching staff ever? It may just be! -- Jimmy Rod's Best!

Put Tim Lincecum with Matt Cain and an apparently rejuvenated Barry Zito, add Jonathan Sanchez and stir. It's the recipe to create one of the best pitching staffs ever. It's so good on paper it's amazing. Rookie legend Madison Bumgarner is having a rocky spring and having to do battle with two excellent challengers for the number five starting position. The Giants have a great closer in Brian Wilson and Affeldt and Runzler doing their magic as set-up men. Yes, San Francisco can pitch. And,... Sign in to see full entry.

Giants' Mark DeRosa and his Celestial Rabbit's Foot! - Jimmy Rod's Best

If I didn't know better I'd think the San Francisco Giants have hired a house astrologer. Their signing of versatile infielder Mark DeRosa looks like a move blessed by "the stars." He's a Pisces with his Jupiter in Pisces, too. With Jupiter in Pisces starting in January and staying there for a year, more or less, 2010 should be a lucky year for DeRosa. Jupiter is the equivalent of a big rabbit's foot. When the Jupiter is in Pisces it blesses all things Pisces with good fortune. It's not a... Sign in to see full entry.

It's Time to Celebrate Bay Area Sports! - Jimmy Rod's Best Shot!

It's Time to Celebrate Bay Area Sports! - Jimmy Rod's Best Shot!

It's party season and Bay Area sports fans have many reasons to celebrate. The 49ers are gradually turning into a contender. They have managed to turn all those high draft picks into great selections. Vernon Davis, Patrick Willis and Michael Crabtree, give the Niners three future Hall of Famers. Even Q.B. Alex Smith has proven that he can be great with non-moronic coaches and solid players joining him. The future looks like its going to be fun. If the refs stop cheating the 49ers out of games,... Stanford's Toby Gerhart For Heisman! - Jimmy Rod

The NCAA football nation has got t he most exciting Heisman Trophy race in history happening right now. I think Stanford's Toby Gerhart deserves the award and I'll tell you why. He's had a miraculous season this year. I can get into his astonishing statistics with you but I won't. You can find those at the Stanford Football website. Suffice to say, he set new Pac-10 records that are n ot likely to be broken any time soon. His main competition comes from Florida's quarterback Tim Teboe, the... Sign in to see full entry.

I Told You So! - Jimmy Rod's Best Shot!

I've been trying to get it through the 49ers coaching staffs' thick skulls for years that Vernon Davis is the ultimate NFL weapon. Last week they finally took advantage of the obvious. Don't tie the 250 pound, 4.4 second Davis to a strong side linebacker. Nolan got fired because he didn't realize that fact. Martz bit the dust for the same reason. The Niners went to a spread offense from the start of the Jaguar game and drove their opponents out of their minds. All of a sudden the entire defense... Sign in to see full entry.

Refs will cheat Niners on Sunday against G.B. - Jimmy Rod's Best Shot!

This weekend in Green Bay the referees will cheat for the Packers. They will fail to call holding, they will ignore personal fouls by the Pack. The close calls will all go Green Bay's way. NFL refs have been cheating against the 49ers and for Green Bay for years. The key and NFL history changing 1994 GB versus SF Monday night game was the biggest pile of NFL sanctioned ref-crap in history. Do a little research. You know, "49ers-Packers, 1994 Monday Night and you'll find out about the NFL's dirty... Sign in to see full entry.

Open Letter to Jimmy Harbaugh - Jimmy Rod's Best Shot

The Oregon Ducks are using an offense that is almost impossible to beat. This is because they are able to use twelve men on offense. When you use the quarterback as a running back, that is what happens. The answer is to address the quarterback as a running back. When Masoli hands the ball off and then pretends he still has the ball, you should hit him and hit him hard. Particularly when he runs toward the line of scrimmage. This is an offense which depends on deception. Masoli is the Houdini. He... Sign in to see full entry.

Favre Voted Most Over Rated Player! - Jimmy Rod's Best Shot!

A recent poll of NFL players came to the conclusion that the Vikings Brett Favre is the NFL's most over rated player. With the American media in passionate ass-kissing mode with the ex-Green Bay quarterback, some questions and some answers are in order. The main reason Favre has been fairly successful during his almost two decade long career is obviously not his number one slot as the NFL's most prolific interception thrower. Interceptions kill football teams. Favre has been lucky to have some... Sign in to see full entry.

NFL Refs Steal Another one for Favre ! - Jimmy Rod's Best Shot

So the Vikes' Brett Farve beats the 49ers with a miracle pass in the last two seconds. If it wasn't for the referee cheating, that game would have long since been locked up by the Niners. The Vikings first TD drive was extended by a phantom defensive holding call against San Francisco. (When you stop Farve, the refs step in to save him). No such help was extended to the 49ers when a San Francisco defensive lineman's helmet was ripped off by a Viking offensive lineman while protecting Fav re.... Sign in to see full entry.

Giants Say "So Long," 49ers Become Contenders! - Jimmy Rod's Best Shot!

Unless the Giants can take two out of three from the L.A. Hypocrite Bums this weekend, it's going to be "wait until next year" for the Fogville Gi'nts. Even if that be so, it has been a relatively excellent season for San Francisco. After more than a few years of sub.500 baseball the Giants have turned into a team that no one wants to face in the playoffs. Pitching is the key to that statement. The Giants have put together a staff of hurlers that tops anything San Francisco has ever had. Their... Sign in to see full entry.

49ers get biggest win in a decade! - Jimmy Rod's Best Shot

The last time the 49ers won a game that was potentially this big, they were whipping the Packers in a final desperate drive. Steve Young almost fell down as he dropped back to pass. He recovered and threw a pass so perfect that Terrell Owens couldn't have dropped it if he wanted to. It was a win that may have ultimately made the 49ers the team of the century. (Go to Jimmyrod.com, 49ers, Team of the Century). Sunday's win over the NFC champion Arizona Cardinals was a huge victory. Of course it... Sign in to see full entry.

Jimmy Rod's Rx for Giants' September Blues - Jimmy Rod's Best Shot

It's like the Giants are about to "phone it in." As a long time San Francisco fan, I recognize the end of the road when I see it. Even with an excellent starting staff, you've got to be able to put runs on the board to win. Great pitching loses its spirit when it gets zero run support. As usual, I've got a few suggestions. Your first move is to play Buster Posey. He plays any position. You can rest everybody and let him thrill the Giant fans in the process. Don't just let the season run out. The... 49ers' Crabby Couch Potato Misses the Point! - Jimmy Rod's Best Shot!

Sometimes people just don't know when they've got it good. The last anyone saw of Michael Crabtree, he was recovering from a broken bone. He had a couple of great years with Texas Tech, but college football and the pros are clearly a couple of different things. How will he hold up when the best athletes in the world start pounding on him? The 49ers don't have an answer for that one. Despite that fact, San Francisco is offering to make him a wealthy man for life. All he has to do is put his name... Sign in to see full entry.

Will NFL Refs Steal 49er Game Again? Probably! - Jimmy Rod's Best Shot

It was a full blown nightmare. The 49ers were closing in on a victory when the refs stepped up and cheated their asses off. It happened last year during the Monday Night game against Arizona. I wasn't even particularly surprised. I've come to believe NFL referees are hired to cheat the Niners. Why would they do that? The NFL is a red-neck institution. The executive leadership prefers the Arizonas of the league over the San Franciscos. They love the Kurt Warner story to the point of exclusion of... Sign in to see full entry.

Bret "Over Rated" Favre signs with Vikes - Jimmy Rod's Best Shot!

So the Vikings just invested the family jewels on Bret Favre. Big mistake! Favre is and always will be the most over rated QB in NFL history. Quick, how many NFL championships has he won? For all the worship the media has bestowed on the guy, you'd figure he at least has two. Nope, just one! Sure he holds the all-time touchdown pass record. He also holds the most dubious NFL record of all for most interceptions. That's why the Green Bay Packers of the Favre era have only one Super Bowl win. He... Sign in to see full entry.
