Could Of, Would Of, Should Of--- A Repost By Necessity

“I should of gone with you.” What’s wrong with that? What’s wrong is that “of” is a preposition, not a helping verb. What you should write is, “I should have gone with you.” Or, “I should’ve gone with you.” Notice anything? “Should of” and “should’ve” sound the same when spoken, which is why the...
