Don did most of his paintings in egg tempora, a somewhat lost medium involving egg yokes and various pigments. The canvasses are also special being hand coated and finely sanded with many layers of rabbit skin glue and gesso (finely ground marble). For Murshid Khabir, painting was a spiritual practice.
