The Heroes of Hogan's Heroes, a comedy moment
Remember the fun that was had by Klink, Hogan and the rest of the boys in the POW camp. Check out the ages of his actors, some and still alive, some have passed.

Political Hereditary
I have written before about the inanity of Japanese politicians. Rich, over confident buffons with no real concern for the general populace. The men and women of Japan's government are - for the most part - grandfathered into their positions. Indeed, should a child's father be one of these...

Operation Eagle Claw.
On this day, April 25th, 1980 - then President Jimmy Carter - authorized a mission into Iran to rescue the 53 American hostages held in the US Embassy in Tehran. The mission, code named "Operation Eagle Claw" - which had been planned early in the hostage crisis - was a complete failure and huge...

Cheney, what's his problem?
Dick Cheney is in the News again, telling the country how much he thinks the Obama administration is screwing up. What is it with this guy? I thought ex-Presidents and ex-Vice presidents, disappeared from the scene when they were voted out. George hasn't been heard of, since landing back in Texas...

Lonely Singles
I've just read Jillann's blog on the problem of single men and women over the age of 40. Personally, I'm impressed with what he has achieved since taking office on January 20th of this year. He's tried to unite Republicians and Democrats alike...

Welcome Back Cuba
I've just read how President Obama has relaxed laws prohibiting travel between the United States and Cuba for Cuban exiles and to allow these exiles to send financial aid to the island nation. Well, I have to say, it's about time. For almost half a century the United States has kept a severe embargo...

The Zoo
At some point during our lives we, as parents, have to take our kids and sometimes some other parent's kids to the zoo. Yep that place in every city where the children can actually see a gorilla, a lion, an elephant, etc, up close. We herd into the zoo like the animals we have come to see. "I want...

Imagine
Have you ever wondered what would have happened to American Foreign policy, the stimulus package, the Iraqi war and other wars, if McCain and Palin had won? Imagine the President of the United States of America was, at this time, John McCain and his Vice-President was Sarah Palin. John McCain, for...
