Pain, Punishment and God So here we stand, Overwhelmed And think the hand of God Has dealt us a heavy blow And we wonder, Is his love genuine? Or is it transient? And will it come to you? The pain covers our minds, A blanket of darkness overcomes us And in it we fail to see How much God really wants us We ask why He has punished us For something we do not deserve Wonder why instead of justice But bitterness he serves He wants us to remember And for us to agree In order to move on Faith in him...
