Peter Kay storms his way towards number one!
It looks like he could just do it - thanks to the generosity of the public. Buying a charity single is often the first type of donation people make to charities. Some of these well meaning songs are obviously much better than others! With Amarillo, Kay has outstripped the sales of Mcfly's Comic Relief single, that has in its own right brought in huge revenues, by two to one. HMV were reporting sales of 200,000 where many of the singles topping thecharts had only sold around 40,000. Tony Christie...
