Irving Layton's funeral is tomorrow.

In the year 1959, Irving Layton won the Governor General's award for his collection of poems "A Red Carpet For the Sun." I was born that same year, but I didn't read Layton until nearly twenty years later. This is sad, in my view, because Layton was one of Canada's greatest poets. He had a strong...
