Gratitude

My earlier blogs recounted my family's struggles in the past year or two. My Dad passed in November after a bravely fought battle with Alzheimer's. My grandbaby was over today and is spending the night while his parents attend a wedding. At 2 1/2 he loves to help with EVERYTHING so the dishes, laundry, picture hanging and garden weeding were all done by the two of us with much hilarity. The company I work for is relocating part of the office (including my job) overseas. They asked me to relocate for a few years but I said, thanks but no thanks. In a few weeks I will be unemployed. My son and daughter-in-law are expecting their second child in November (WOOHOO!!). Everyone is wracking their brain trying to come up with a unique, but not wacko, name for this child. I've arrived home tonight after a week in Victoria BC with my family. It was a bit of a whirlwind trip, with a 3 1/2 day journey out there on the train. Thank you to all who sent prayers for my daughter-in-law and the baby to come. She's had some tests done and the baby is strong and healthy. Too early to tell if it's a boy or girl though. My last post relayed the scary episode with my Mom yesterday. Thankfully she is feeling much better now that the antibiotics are kicking in.
