Living in an earthquake-vulnerable zone, or any natural hazard zone, we are so ready to ignore and deny the risk, to optimistically assume it will never happen in my lifetime... Or to shrug it off fatalistically because it takes so much effort and commitment to actually prepare or plan for something that might NOT happen. Or to assume, if it does, it will be...
