...to spit in public. That was back when tuberculosis was incurable. But now it is a Manly Thing To Do, apparently. I have never seen a gentleman spit in public. They just don't. They know better than to inflict their precious bodily fluids on the world around them. The men I have seen spit in public are at the least, inconsiderate and personally, I find their gob on the sidewalk or wherever they leave it, disgusting.
