Picking flowers for the wedding
We went to a florist warehouse to pick up the flowers Annie ordered for the wedding. I couldn't resist... thought if you have never been to such a place, you might enjoy these: Company has arrived... If you want more of these, I will post some later...

It was a beautiful wedding!
There will, of course, be pictures though not today. There is much sorting to be done, much loading up and down, a bit of editing... Somehow I managed to get shots of myself as well. The location was up in the hills between Frederick, Maryland and Gettysburg in a great old lodge for the reception dinner and dancing. The ceremony was performed down by a pond with an old willow leaning over one side. At 5PM the sunlight was golden and the reflections of a very clear day were like crystal in the...

How many goats, how many sheep?
Never too late to negotiate bride-price and dowry... Gives Groom and Father of the Bride something to do while cookery is being committed in the kitchen, for today's rehearsal dinner being held at the house. Today is my birthday, but there is only one spotlight this weekend. Still, I have my eye on a new camera--Nikon Coolpix p90 is looking pretty good! Well well! This was unexpected!
As the throngs begin to gather, my daughter's house begins to fill... The room I had for a week was promised to the maid-of-honor, her man and child...(matron-of-honor,in fact, but these days only some traditions are honored) I volunteered for a couch in the not-completely-finished basement and transferrred my stuff. It was with full awareness and, I repeat, I volunteered. There is nothing particularly noisome about the basement. But one does feel a bit like a trap-door spider... And regardless...
