Intimate Inchland
I call this the Niche Garden, a narrow space on the western side of the Great Castle, the largest of the three castles in this vicinity. This is a little grotto down on the eastern side of the Great Castle. You will recognize this berry plant from earlier pictures-- This is how it looks now, this spring, with its winter-worn leaves and new sprouts. I have been watching this for the past three years, and it grows very slowly, not at all like the rampant vines that range the area all around.
