Venus is brilliant in the sky at 6am, Orion was in the same location last night when I went to bed around 10--two of my favorites in the sky. When I was little, my bed was by the window and I could see Orion all winter every clear night, and we became friends, or at least familiars. I rarely saw Venus in those days, but later when I was in my teens, I would go out some mornings to the top of the road where we lived then, to watch for a comet--Ikeia-Seki, that I never saw, but the dawns were...
