I watched a movie tonight, more or less randomly chosen: AN INSPECTOR CALLS, a stage play originally, by JB Priestly, adapted for film by Helen Edmunson. It was first performed in 1945, but it is one of those tales that always applies. This cast is led by David Thewlis as the Inspector, and Miranda Richardson plays the lady of the house to bitchy perfection.
