The two dove chicks are growing feathers with just a few bits left of the thready yellow down they started with. They have grown, too so now they sit stacked in the nest that was made originally by a robin, a rather smaller bird than a dove. The top on gets the view, the underneath one gets to stay protected from the chill and, today, the blustery wind. In another week they will be ready to leave the nest, I suspect.
