Intimate Inchland

I call this the Niche Garden, a narrow space on the western side of the Great Castle, the largest of the three castles in this vicinity. This is a little grotto down on the eastern side of the Great Castle. You will recognize this berry plant from earlier pictures-- This is how it looks now, this spring, with its winter-worn leaves and new sprouts. I have been watching this for the past three years, and it grows very slowly, not at all like the rampant vines that range the area all around. Sign in to see full entry.
