The smoke blocked out the mountains again, and by late afternoon, the sun was a big bright orange in the sky, well above the horizon. On the edge of challenges

Record-breaking heat today, followed by ~70 degree plunge overnight, winds up to 40mph and snow tomorrow and Wednesday... That's the weather here in Colorado Springs. Today I am bringing in the plants I can find room for, mulching the bigger and immovable planters with straw. The doves are back, they have been freshening their nest with new twigs.
