Feeding time... the chicks are quiet, not like jays for instance who squawk and holler for parents to drop tasty morsels into their gaping maws! Dove chicks are fed 'crop milk' which the parent produces, a blend of seeds, water, and whatever else doves eat. The chicks may not make a lot of noise, but they do get pushy and frantic, so getting focused shots of the feeding is not easy! I took over 80 shots, saved fewer than 20.
