Windstorms and strange temperature ups and downs have taken most of the aspen leaves or turned them less bright than in other years. The roads I took went up as high as 9500 ft, but even that high, some of the aspen were still full of leaves and even still a touch greenish going yellow. Most, though, are silver skeletons.
