Damnation From on High
"... we are all as an unclean thing, and all our righteousnessess are as filthy rags." (Isaiah 64:6) The very nature of an imperialistic religious system is a formula for disaster. While those on top of the lofty mountain shout down messages of fear and damnation "repent or be tormented," they condemn the vast majority at the base and leave them to suffer the terrible consequences of feeling unworthy, to believe that self-abandonment or denial are the only courses left to them.
