Lot's of pondering about writing
as I seek to eschew writer's block and various other excuses of years past with the advent of this word count challenge. The idea of just sitting down to write, no matter what comes out is not a new one. I keep thinking of what Madeline L' Engle wrote about regular writing being akin to a pianist...

Regular writing.
I am trying to do this - to write every single day now. Next month I have signed up for an escalating word challenge where the required word count goes up every day of the month. Oh my! "You just sit down and write every day for three or four hours. You do it like piano scales until you have a story...

Writing and rewriting and
