The week has begun...
...The children were in bed early last night, so everyone was bright and happy this Monday morning....I heard most of it by phone as this is my morning to leave for work early....Childcare person and children were all happily chattering either into my cell phone or in the background. SNL mocking candidates...
Just read this headline on AOL. Mocking, making fun of, sneering, scorning. It is found throughout media entertainment. During the debate, Obama did it a lot when McCain was speaking, McCain did it a little.... So I have a few questions. How do you feel when you are mocked and scorned? Fishing...
My son and I had been talking about going fishing for a while....He actually wanted to fish. I wanted to watch him. This is something much more suited to his dad doing with him. And they did fish a bit when our son was younger. But it is very unlikely to happen again. Well, we have a well stocked pond within walking distance of our home. My son is old enough to handle the gross parts (ie the worms and the actual touching of live fish) himself. I am mechanically inclined enough to help him figure...

First full week of school for everyone...
...and I think we are finally back in the routine. The children left with me are all normal range in their struggles, and parenting them is very rewarding. They aren't perfect, but they usually want to learn to do better when I have to correct them. Also, they don't get so jealous of one another--they are even happy when another child in the family gets blessed with something special.......and the one that manipulated a move to his dad's would manipulate moves back and forth between homes if I...

Life goes on...
...I could list so many slights and meannesses from my ex this past week, but instead choose to focus on the bright spots....He has done all the driving for the childrens' visitation this evening, and while he is to be very late getting them home, at least he called so that I could get a shower rather than waiting and waiting thinking they might be any minute at the door.....
