A different sort of day....
When I work the weekend, I usually get my 'onsite' duties out of the way early in the day. But one of the kids had a game. I chose to catch up on some sleep since their dad was taking them. So I planned to just show up for the game. I got a call from the kids an hour before with questions and needs....I wish I had gone early as I would have if I were transporting the children. Oh well. Then it was difficult to get away in a timely fashion. So I didn't get home until about 7pm tonight....I think...

A good start to a Friday....
I had the boys get up and run laps at 6am....Since they have been neglecting their school work, I add more 'work.' Now they are both in the kitchen quizzing one another on their spelling for tests today. Tis much better to compete for the highest grade than to see which can get away with the least amount of work....

The day is winding to a close....
...Lot's of ups and downs with my children's behavior. But we ended the day well, with one boy quizzing the other on his spelling. Now the children are all settling for the night, and I am starting to watch a 'livestream' show on the internet..... Tis been a long week. My head was aching earlier while we were at church for basketball practice and prayer service. It feels better now that I am resting with my feet up---the old recliner that belonged to my grandfather is quite relaxing--and the few...

I feel lighter....
...with the legal thing at bay for a while. The children are on their way to school, and I am in the process of getting ready for work. Soooo cold outside--in the teens. But it is supposed to get up into the midforties. Strange to think my crisp dry snow crunching steps may soon be slush-mud tracks into my house. Then it is all supposed to hard freeze for more snow tomorrow....

I have lost count...
...of how many legal actions have been taken against me by my ex. This one is dragging out over 7 months and, as usual, is about money. He has never believed he owes child support since I have a good job. And once he got out of it for a few years. But I don't think he will at this point, b/c the circumstances were quite unusual and extreme before..... I am tired of it all, but tomorrow is another day. Taking the high road. Interestingly, when he isn't paying he uses part of his money to do...
