Needed – more reading material!
I have run out of interesting reading material and I need your assistance to find some more. I’m looking for motivational books, success stories and biographies, especially those about strong women. I have my favourites and I read them over and over again, but I would like to branch out and find...

Learning to forgive myself
This post was inspired by a visit to my naturopath, who is also a close friend. She tested my chakras and discovered I was low on self-esteem. She gave me something for it. We chatted a bit and, in conversation about various causes, I realised I still can’t get my ex boyfriend out of my head....

Negativity drains energy
Today I’ve been surrounded by negativity at work and it’s been very draining. One of my co-workers is always negative. She is overweight and has tried various diets in the past, none of which have worked long term. I recommended my naturopath to her as she was also suffering stress. I’m not sure if...

NEWSFLASH!!!
Read all about it! Read all about it! Ca88andra starts new blog! Not only have I started a new blog, but also I’m planning to update an old one. I suddenly feel very creative; maybe my visits to the gym have stirred up my mental juices. So, the new blog I’ve begun is called “The Diary of a Young...

Two more days…
The school holidays end in two more days. Tomorrow my two youngest sons travel back to their father and on Monday all three of my boys go back to school and I go back to work after having this week off. I have thoroughly enjoyed these holidays. My boys haven’t fought, I’ve had time to spend with...

Showing my age, physically if not mentally…
When I was young… I never thought I would write or say that phrase, but there it is, in the open for all to see. When I was young I never thought I would deteriorate physically either. Oh no, not me! I was going to stay in shape. I was going to go out when I wanted, dance the night away and enjoy...

No accolades for second best…
Today saw the 72 year wait for victory end for the fans of the Sydney Swans when they won the Australian Football League’s Grand Final, beating the West Coast Eagles by 4 points. Even though I don’t follow either of the teams, the game had me on the edge of my seat, as the chessboard of players had...

Multicultural Melbourne
After work today the boys and I took the train to the city so that the boys could watch the AFL players and their partners walk the red carpet to the official Brownlow Medal count. I guess I had better explain. AFL stands for Australian Football League, the national game of Australia. The Brownlow...

Threatening phone call… now what?
If you have been reading me for the past eighteen months or so, you might remember that a while ago I received some very weird telephone calls. A man with a strong foreign accent makes the calls. His accent sounds Middle Eastern. I’ve managed to piece together the fact that he was seeing the girl...
