Non-Human Personhood
I wrote this in response to someone who objected to the term 'non-human' as if it differentiates us human people too much from other kinds of people. She prefers to think of us as 'just another animal' on the planet. Human beings do have attributes that, in combination, have allowed us to dominate life on this planet: hands and minds that can create technological solutions to the problems of living on Earth; intellect that gives us options as we create them, and freedom--when we choose to use...
