Expecting Perfection
Parents and friends, partners, lovers... teachers and leaders... priests, doctors and policemen... We do so want them to be perfect for us! We carry in our hearts and minds an Ideal image of what Mother should be, what Relationship ought to live up to, what the Leader should do and say. And in life, in our realities, they just never are, never do. It isn't a difficult thing to make a philosophical distinction between Ideal and Real.
