Let's Write!

I just received the tentative audio for "The Brick," a story on working through grief, loneliness, and dealing with suicidal thoughts. The ebook is selling quite well. It will be another ten days or so before that gets on the market over on # Audible and # Amazon. I will also have another audio book... Sign in to see full entry.

I'll have more pointers later tonight, but this just popped into my head. I heard part of this verse in a conversation last night and found it thought provoking. I have a story line buzzing in my head that could well focus on the meaning behind this verse. I've never done an 'avenger' type story,... Sign in to see full entry.

Research & Plagiarism

This section centers around doing research and plagiarism and what I do. This won't be as 'tech heavy' as some of the things I post here, but sometimes, a personal opinion is better. First off, Wikipedia can be your best friend or it can be your worst enemy. It depends on the subject. Keep in mind... Sign in to see full entry.

I was searching for some inspiration for a story when this song came across my play-list. I have always loved this song. In 240 words, the lyricist tells a mournful story. Anyone know the name of it? I do, just curious if anyone else does. V Harry got up Dressed all in black Went down to the station... Sign in to see full entry.

Damn Kids, Shut The Door!

Those who have followed me for a while are aware that after I finish a big story, it takes me a few days to get back into the saddle and start riding (writing) again. I have finished three novellas since late December for a total of over 122,000 words. I'm still working on a couple of small short... Sign in to see full entry.

A quick question: What does a thesaurus eat for breakfast? Well, quite naturally, a synonym roll. Sign in to see full entry.

The last chapter of "Conversations" as explained in my 'blather blog.' This contains absolutely no 'bad language.' On the long stainless steel table, lay a small figure of a woman. She had been covered with a sheet, which I gently lifted to view her. When I had last seen Alicia a mere two months... Sign in to see full entry.

Promoting Your Audio Book - A Video by ACX

This is a thirty minute video from ACX, the production side of Audible. I realize that I was young (a long time ago!) but I think this would have come across much better if it had been presented by someone who was of legal drinking age. The video is worth your time if you are interested in doing... Sign in to see full entry.

I'm hoping to add some more of the tools things, but in a way, this post covers a 'tool' as well. I don't know how many of you have more than one manuscript or project in motion or as a finished product, but even with one or two, things can get out of hand. So, what to do? I make a folder that has... Sign in to see full entry.
