Valley of Lavender

I find myself in the valley of lavender, staring at a pale moon, sad blue fragrant light tries to lift the clouds above sailboats lodged and deserted against a rocky shoreline. I cannot see above the darkest mountain before me for I am in this valley of purple clusters, where prayers groaned... Sign in to see full entry.

Morning Glory

A concert breaks out among the early birds, as dawn lights the stage. Flowers take their place in the spilling of sun. Morning glory bathes every treetop. The Maestro bows to the beating heart applause of every living thing, breathing. Nature testifies of a Creator. The volume is up as I hear its... Sign in to see full entry.

Servant

I am but a mere servant, whose master’s sandals I am not worthy to fasten. My visage, grimaced by toiling ground overturned. I climb walls that crumble beneath me, as mistakes blister to the surface. How can I wear his name when the pride I carry is my own? I give the wrong impression, as I pass out... Sign in to see full entry.

Basket of fruit

I come to the garden to gather fruit from a tree whose roots have no end. The Gardener, robed in light with shades of peach and arbor green, crown of thorns, pierced hands extended. I approach as He hands me the garden garment to wear in the fields of plenty. I spend time with the Gardener as He... Sign in to see full entry.

Take a Walk with Me

We find the winding road laced in floral lights and morning dew. Each rock, a stepping stone toward our final step. Grace fills our lungs with every breath, another day of life ends in setting sun. Tonight, the Seventh day begins, in obedience I take my rest, count the blessings as if finding four... Sign in to see full entry.

Renaissance Fair

I take a stroll to Canterbury to catch a glimpse of the King and Queen. "God save the King," yells one blessed fellow in the crowd. Cheers fill the air as music echoes with rhythm and beat. Fairies and gremlins, royalty and paupers alike all are here in costume and script. Here we relive a time of... Sign in to see full entry.

Ode to Echo and Narcissus

With such tenderness and desire she longed for you...Echo, breathless and desirable, a nymph of beauty and wisdom... All she ever wanted was to love and be loved... but you would not have her... She escaped into the dark recesses of the woods, but never stopped loving you... You fell in love with... Sign in to see full entry.

Inner Messages

Missing the sun, for I am the moon... Missing the day, for I am the night... Missing the yang, for I am the yin... Missing my reflection set in perfection by you. I'm given over to a dream, whispered to me by a sage, in a green forest at midnight. There was the light of the moon in his eyes, the... Sign in to see full entry.

An Ode to Myrrh

Oh simple girl, young, Greek Myrrha, thou who would not bow down and worship Aphrodite. The goddess threatened your death, other gods took pity, turned you into a Myrrh tree. Your tear-shaped drops and your gum resin have long held power to heal and sooth the mind and body. What was meant by... Sign in to see full entry.

Dreamweaver’s Arch

I trace the constellations as I see them reflected in your eyes. Everything that is you is a fire with water all in one, shrouded in the brilliance of interwoven mystery. In the glint of a moonbeam I catch a glimpse of all that is you in the night of Pegasus and in the day at Dreamweaver's Arch, I... Sign in to see full entry.
