Cracked Sky

Rippling sun on black water. Bare trees twisting to a cold wind. Silent as winter, yet spring buds a thin light, casting shadow over the land, promises hailed through a cracked sky and trembling tears of rain sprinkle down against the tired face of a landscape no one really notices anymore.
