Morning

Coiled, raven skies spread their wings now across a slated horizon. The sun attempts to break the black magic spell of morning. I stare into the vapor rising over distant trees, fine-grained bark hidden in a dark gray veil. The expanse of air reaches up, competiting with high branches to tear open...
