The Face of the Son

The image of the son loomed in Justus Halvorson's mind. The boy, Jimmy, in a white gown, beamed with a smile in his confirmation picture. Buoyant, blond hair dedecked the boy. A dimple dotted the chin. The blue eyes sparkled above the aquiline nose. The face was broad, soft and yet solid. Why did Grace have to drag the photograph out from storage?
