With the fall of Lehman Brothers, as I told you was happening and the dominos now lined up in front of them from here to Singapore, I pity the next president of a tarnished, beleaguered by itself, crashing nation. I wondered if anyone was reporting from the frontlines of American Society, embedded with the poverty stricken and reporting on what happens each day when you live in the greatest country on earth and earn enough to survive and not much else.
