My friend thinks money is the meaning of life

and so do 51% of American's surveyed. Most people think money is the end all to existence on this earth. They will hoard it and polish it and squirrel it away for rest of their lives. We live in an environment that has glorified the principles of wealth far more than any other aspect of society.... Sign in to see full entry.

The government and its maze

Today I had to do some paperwork at the federal building in Boston. I was a little apprehensive about going through security at the massive institution but I finally made it through the line and went to the right department. There were agents all over the place and a few of them were giving me funny... Sign in to see full entry.

The Conservative Swing Shift

What happenned to America in the last twenty years or so? The population has certainly aged and gotten ripe with experience. Yet, there was a fundamental shift in our ideology. We became more conservative and less tolerent of extreme music, movies, or ideas which challenge our homespun values. Some... Sign in to see full entry.

Japanese Anime is fascinating

The TMC channel is having a festival of Miyazaki films. This guy is the "Walt Disney" of Japan and one of the most creative people in filmaking. The man has created some of the most insightful and thought-provoking movies ever made. I bought my nephew the movie Spirited Away for Christmas, after... Sign in to see full entry.

They also try and do outrageous antics and annoy the movie goer by yakking away on their cell phones. These kids are annoying now but will be dangerous in the future.... Sign in to see full entry.

Women are too competitive

Women have a sense of comeptitiveness that can be overwhelming at times. Most women, I must agree, are more into cooperation than being competitive but there are a handfull of them that are hypercomeptitive in everything that they do. They are the big money makers and the huge wage earners. They are... Sign in to see full entry.

A volcano almost wiped us out and caused color?

A volcano in the distant past exploded and nearly reduced the human population to nothing. The people that remained, ended up going to different parts of the plant and then becoming tinted. That's a new theory of what might have caused all the differences that we have within our own species. I don't... Sign in to see full entry.

Pay not to have babies

I am getting so sick of these woman having babies left, right, center, and upside down. Our tax dollars are then supporting these ladies as they go about their business and scatter the children that they bring into this world. These kids then grow up unloved and unwanted, hit the streets running,... Sign in to see full entry.

Utopian societies are for imbeciles

What is the big deal about finding utopia in this lifetime. People have gone barking up the wrong tree several times to find it. What causes the relentless quest for the never-ending nirvana? There are some desires that are as old as humanity itself. The stuff that searches for resolution, for... Sign in to see full entry.
